Getting up early leaving our hotel in Lynchburg, We headed west stopping in Roanoke. After we saw NS 279 leaving, We chased it from Villamont, eventually landing at the Montgomery Tunnel, along the Christiansburg district.

Pumpkins are out for Halloween!

NS Train "13Z" passing Vickers with the former Norfolk and Western Coal tower still standing with Wells Fargo Rail (WFRX) 8963, a former BNSF Railway SD70MAC as the end of train DPU.

Least to say it was very cool seeing one of these in person, and its EMD 710 Prime mover sounds amazing pushing such a big train.
