You planned every detail.

The Venue. The decorations. The catering. The playlist. The outfit. You spent weeks making sure everything was perfect for the people you love most.

And then the photos from the night are a collection of dark, blurry cell phone shots that don’t come close to capturing what it actually felt like to be in the room.

The laughter. The tears. The moments that went by too fast.

Those moments deserved better.

Professional photography for private celebrations is just for wedding. Milestone birthdays, Quinces, Anniversary parties. Retirement celebrations. The moments that mark a chapter in your family’s story deserve to be documented the way they actually happened; beautifully, honestly, and in a way you’ll want to look at for the rest of your life.

None of it prepared me for Saturday.

My daughter graduated this weekend. Camera in hand like always, but this time my hands were shaking.

Seven years ago, I started this business while recovering injury. The point was simple-be present for the moments that matter.

Last week I had the privilege of being part of something special.

I spent three days photographing the Bisnow DICE 2026 Conference in Bethesda — and walked away genuinely inspired.

What made it work wasn't just the caliber of the speakers, though that was exceptional. It was the communication. The collaboration. The willingness of everyone in that room to show up fully and make it a real experience worth attending.

As a photographer, your job is to capture the energy of a room. When the room has that kind of energy — executives, investors, engineers, and visionaries all genuinely engaged — your job becomes a privilege.

Thank you to Bisnow for having me. It was an honor to be behind the lens for three days at an event built with that much intention.

I left with a full card, a full heart, and a deeper appreciation for the people building the infrastructure that powers our world.
