The first year of your baby’s life is truly incredible. 🤍
Month after month, the changes are amazing—those tiny newborn features begin to change, little personalities start to emerge, smiles turn into giggles, they learn to sit, crawl, stand, and suddenly… your tiny baby is ONE! 🥹✨
That’s why I believe so strongly in photographing your baby throughout their first year. These changes happen so quickly, and before you know it, you’re looking back wondering how they could have grown so much in just twelve months.
And what better way to celebrate that BIG ONE milestone than with a cake smash?! 🎂🎉

What a joy it was to celebrate Violet’s very first birthday with a cake smash session! 🎂💜
This little girl was an absolute bundle of joy—smiling from beginning to end and definitely making sure we got to see her sassy side too! 😍✨
One of the things I love most about cake smash sessions is that it really doesn’t matter whether your little one devours the cake or barely touches it. The magic is in the discovering—the first tastes, new flavors, sticky fingers, interesting textures, and those genuine little expressions of surprise, curiosity, excitement (and sometimes, “What is THIS?!” 😂).
Those reactions are what make these sessions so adorable and so uniquely your baby.
At Mily Cooper Photography, I have years of experience working with babies and toddlers, and I know how to keep sessions fun, relaxed, and engaging—even when our little ones have their own ideas about how things should go! My goal is always to capture their personality, smiles, curiosity, and all those little details that make them them.
