September 11th, 2001.

I was still in college, going part-time at William Paterson University. I remember walking in that morning and seeing everyone stopping in the hallways, gathered around TVs, trying to understand what was happening.

From Wayne, we could see the smoke coming from New York City. My girls were little at the time, and I remember the fear and confusion of that day. Schools were closing. Everyone was trying to pick up their kids. Phones weren’t working. Nobody really knew what was happening or what was coming next.

And then, as we began to understand the magnitude of what had happened, the sadness became overwhelming.

One thing I’ll also never forget is what happened afterward. For a moment, it felt like the entire country came together. There was such an incredible sense of unity and pride in being American. I still remember the emotion when baseball returned and we began trying to find some sense of normalcy again.

Twenty-five years later, as a photographer, I look at the images captured that day differently. They are heartbreaking, but they are also incredibly powerful. Those photographers and journalists preserved moments in history that generations will continue to see long after we’re gone. I have tremendous respect for the people who picked up their cameras that day and documented what was happening around them.

To everyone who lost a family member, friend, coworker, first responder, or someone they loved that day, and to everyone whose life was forever changed, we remember you.

May we never forget what happened on September 11th.

And may we never forget how, in one of our darkest moments, we came together.

🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET. 9•11•01 🇺🇸

As a lifelong Yankees fan, having the opportunity to photograph the The ꓘarlos Rodón Foundation WILLOW Grant 2026 was truly something special! ⚾️📸

It was an incredible evening filled with amazing people coming together to support an even more incredible cause. Having members of the New York Yankees there showing their support was definitely an added bonus! Especially for me!

All the stars aligned for an unforgettable night, and the The Refinery at Domino in Brooklyn was nothing short of spectacular.

A huge shoutout to my boy Frankie and One Of A Kind Events for the amazing production! Enjoy these moments, learn more, and please support this incredible organization. 🙏🏼❤️

As the final whistle blows on this incredible FIFA World Cup tournament, I can’t help but reflect on what an unforgettable journey it’s been.

I’m beyond grateful that AGNYC had the opportunity to work alongside esp Productions capturing some of the most memorable moments from start to finish. From the host city selection celebrations, to the unforgettable night we learned the FIFA World Cup Final would be coming to MetLife Stadium , to countless planning meetings, fan festivals, community events, and the incredible mobile bus tour, it has truly been one of the highlights of my career.

Being behind the camera gave us a front-row seat to history, but what I’ll remember most are the amazing people we met and the incredible production team that made every event possible. Watching an event of this magnitude come together has been inspiring, and it’s something I’ll never forget.

As everything comes to a close this Sunday, it’s definitely bittersweet. It was a tremendous amount of work, long days, and countless hours, but every second was worth it.

A huge thank you to esp Productions, FIFA World Cup 26™ New York New Jersey and everyone who trusted us to help tell the story through our lenses. Here’s to the memories we’ve created and to whatever comes next.
