Christmas may still be a few months away, but I’m already planning this year’s holiday sessions, and my calendar is beginning to fill! 🎄✨

For 2026, I’m envisioning something a little more grand, elegant, and luxurious. Think beautiful staircases, rich colors, sparkling lights, and plenty of Christmas magic.

I’d love your help choosing this year’s backdrop! Which one is your favorite?

Don't let the details slip by. BnB photos in Basye closed out a hot summer day with a plate of s'mores and the echos of music from the nearby outdoor concert. It's always a pleasure to update photos each season for a great client.

What an incredible National Night Out with the Woodstock Police Department!

More than 1,500 community members joined us for an evening filled with fun activities, smiling faces, great food, and meaningful connections. From hot dogs served by the Boy Scouts and ice cream from Sugar Creek to the many vendors, sponsors, and volunteers who contributed their time and resources, so many people helped make this a safe and fantastic event.

One of the biggest highlights was watching a Woodstock police officer, in almost full uniform, take part in the diving board contest! The basketball competition also brought plenty of excitement, with participants ranging from the littlest of littles to 18-year-olds competing for some really cool prizes.

We are especially grateful for the camaraderie among first responders from throughout the county. Attendees had the opportunity to meet the people who serve our communities and enjoy demonstrations from a wide variety of law enforcement officers, first responders, and public-safety professionals.

Great people, great weather, and a stunning sunset made it a night to remember. Thank you to everyone who attended, participated, sponsored, volunteered, and worked behind the scenes to make National Night Out such a success!

Start at the Welcome Table to chat it up with your town police officers.
Explore tables from local organizations and discover all the great things happening in our community.
Grab a free hot dog, chips, and a drink from the food tent... then treat yourself to some ice cream (before or after—we're not judging!).

Make your way through all the fan-favorite activities, and don't miss this year's NEW attractions!

Want to switch it up? Head straight for the brand-new bumper cars, catch the new pool contests, and finish the night with food and fun.

No matter how you map out your evening, you can't go wrong!

A little wedding-day reminder: please don’t be this person.

When you step into the aisle with your phone, the photographer has to work around you, or crop you out of every frame. The couple hired a professional to capture these moments, and they deserve photos without phones, arms, and screens blocking the view.

Your hosts have already taken care of the photography. Put the phone away, stay in your seat, and be fully present. Watch the ceremony, enjoy the moment, and celebrate with the people you came to support.

Just sit back and enjoy the ceremony.

Yes, I captured the raw moment that this photo portrays. But, I'm not sharing this op-ed because of that; I'm sharing because the widow who wrote this is local and beautifully captured the essence of Memorial Day and how people from all over the state came together to honor someone they'd never met.
