I love it when families bring props along that tell a piece of their story!
Sometimes it's a handmade blanket from Grandma, a piece of clothing, a family heirloom, or something that represents thier family's journey. These personal touches make your session uniquely yours!

This is the pose I begin almost every newborn session with. Babies are often awake when they first arrive, and this setup helps them feel warm, secure, and relaxed before we move into the rest of the session.
These images also show just how small some of these little ones are!

Does your little one have a milestone session coming up with me?
Here are a few helpful tips for a successful session:
1. Feed or nurse your baby upon arrival to the studio. You're welcome to come on in a few minutes early for this. A fed baby is a happy baby!
2. If your baby has been sick or has received vaccinations within 48 hours of the session, please let me know so that we can reschedule! I want your baby to be happy during their session and a sick or sore baby is not a happy baby.
3. Schedule a morning session if possible. Babies are typically the happiest before lunchtime.
4. Please wait until you are at the studio to get baby dressed. This will ensure that there are no wardrobe accidents before the session and will help avoid wrinkles. I have a selection of outfits for ages 3 months to 1 year available for both boys and girls. However, you're welcome to bring an outfit that you would like photographed.
5. Leave guests and siblings at home unless they are also being photographed. Baby can become easily distracted by too many people around during the session.
