for over 2,100 days...
nearly 311 weeks...
almost 6 years...
I got to be her whole world (most of the time). Grateful to have been able to stay home/work from home/bring her to work with me and fill our days with library storytimes, playground days, and so many other sweet memories in-between.
It didn't come without sacrifice. There was a lot of penny pinching, skipping experiences, and hardcore budgeting involved to even have this be a possibility for us. (Having extra time to earn some income for our family will 100% be a positive in this.)
But now she's off to kindergarten...
To make her circle bigger, to learn, to spread her wings, and grow
I know this is just the beginning of sharing our little love with the world, her letting go of my hand. I know there will be other days that shatter my mom heart but I can't seem to see beyond today.
"The days are long but the years are short" is hitting especially hard right now.
I'm so not ready to say goodbye to this special phase of motherhood I was so fortunate to experience.
Moms of toddlers I KNOW you're in the thick of it and you don't need someone making you feel guilty and telling you to "soak it up" while you handle another meltdown but maybe just take a couple extra minutes to cuddle on the couch today because man, this came faster than I could have ever imagined.
