Beman Boatright

There's something special about photographing generations of family (as I always love to do), the faces may change, but you can see the story continuing through each one.

The Patriarch of the family Mr. Boatright, a life lived, a legacy built, and generations that carry pieces of his story onward.

Sometimes I am reminded and humbled, that I am capturing more than just a portrait, but I am preserving a piece of family history, that will be passed on for generations.

Mr. Beman and I discussed his love for cattle farming, businesses he's owned, and places he traveled. At 93, he is still as sharp as I imagined he was 50 years ago.

(Although color is something I love, I feel black and white at times often is more story telling, So here is both.)
