Rod being born a naturally gifted artist, he has had his talents enhanced over the years with in Rod being born a naturally gifted artist, he has had his talents enhanced over the years with instruction and schooling for drawing, watercolor, oils, sculpture and photography. Photography was always a strong interest for him, starting at a young age, like most children of this era, with a brownie cam

era and a Kodak pocket instamatic. Rod's main points of focus with photography are; landscapes, wildlife, nature and water which were all influenced by his best friend of 38 years, his grandfather. Rod's grandfather taught him to walk softly leaving only his footprints, talk to the animals along the way, respect the land, and see the beauty in everything God has created. Rod feels he was extremely fortunate to have the love and guidance this man showed him over the years of their wonderful relationship. His other photographic interest includes; people, which he is trying to convey all sides and statuses of the human population. Working mainly in color, Rod is now trying very hard to see things more in black & white and incorporate it into much of his recent work. He doesn't think that this will be easy, since he believes he thinks mainly in color. Rod also likes working on environmental statements, photographing unusual and unique signs, rustic Americana images and conveying the beauty of people through human form studies. Currently he resides in Wrightsville, Pennsylvania, in a quaint little house along the great Susquehanna River, with his wife, Nancy, and their two cats.
