“We’re so awkward in photos.” We hear this every time.
The city was coming alive in Belfast. The streets were filled with people and the city began to glow for the evening.
When they first arrived, they told us what so many couples tell us: “We’re kind of awkward in front of the camera.”
And honestly?
That’s exactly where most great stories begin.
Not with perfect poses.
Not with knowing what to do.
Not with feeling completely confident.
Just two people showing up exactly as they are.
So instead of jumping straight into photos, we slowed everything down.
We wandered through the streets together.
Past the Pubs where music filled the city.
Down narrow alleyways lit by old lanterns.
Across quiet corners where they could simply hold each other and breathe.
Little by little, the nerves disappeared.
The city faded into the background.
And suddenly they weren’t thinking about photos anymore.
They were running through the streets laughing.
Dancing beneath the glow of street lights.
Getting lost in the moment.
Being fully present with each other.
That’s the part most people don’t realize.
Beautiful photos aren’t created because someone knows how to pose.
They’re created when people feel safe enough to be themselves.
That’s why we don’t approach engagement sessions as photoshoots.
We create experiences.
Stories.
An evening intentionally designed to help you slow down, connect, and feel something.
