And because my brain stops working sometimes when I’m talking to this damn camera…your outfit is part of the story, your location is part of the story, your poses and facial expressions are part of the story. An image is not always defined by the one tool that you need to show off to prove you do what you do.

If you’ve done a brand shoot with me you already know about that in depth brand questionnaire I ask you to fill out. And you already know about the strategy call where we discuss everything from the details of the day to the outfits you will wear.

But the main and most important topic we go over is how you’ll be using these photos in your marketing. If you have a launch coming up, if you have a specific offer/service you want to promote, where the gaps are in your marketing and how we can fill that intentionally.

There is planning and preparing behind the scenes but when we do it right, the ROI will come in many ways. And these photos will do the work for you.

This energy 🖤

One thing I struggled with when leaving my 9-5 was how damn grateful I actually was for my life. I had a great job working with great people with great benefits and a pension. A job I went to college for. A job that contributed to the family. A job that was close to home so I could let my dog out over lunch 🙈 but I still hated my days. I wanted to be with my kids more. I wanted to build my business. I wanted to create more. I wanted to do more of what I loved.

And it was this energy that moved me forward. And it’s this energy that keeps me moving forward on the tough days. On the days I still want more. On the days I’m so unbelievably happy I feel slightly manic 😂

WEAR THE COLOR.

I promise I used to be the girl wearing black all the time. So I get it. But the more I photograph these badass babes in bold colors the more I’m convinced we all need to be a little more adventurous.

ESPECIALLY in front of the camera. You’ll feel more confident, you’ll be a little braver, you’ll radiate from the inside out.

Second, don’t ever think “too much” is a negative thing. Because I guarantee you it’ll be the thing that catches the right persons eye and makes them think “yup, that’s who I need to work with”.

Third, having fun is the way to go in every aspect of life. Personal opinion maybe but seems to work for most people 😂
