Mario and Laura got married at Sweetest Heart of Mary Church in Detroit, one of the most stunning churches I've had the chance to photograph in Downtown Detroit. Everything about their day was intentional and classic, exactly the way they wanted it.

After the ceremony, we stopped at Michigan Central Station before heading to their reception at The Myth in Oakland Township. Standing in that station with the two of them, it hit me how fitting it was. That building spent years closed off, waiting for its moment to open back up to the world. Mario and Laura were doing something pretty similar, starting a new chapter together, just quieter and a lot more personal.

Their whole day felt easy. No rush, no chaos, just two families who love each other having a genuinely good time.

Congratulations, Mario and Laura. This one was a joy from start to finish.

Pragya and Ethan's wedding day is one I'll carry with me for a long time.

The ceremony was held at Matthaei Botanical Gardens in Ann Arbor, under a mandap surrounded by greenery on one of those rare, perfectly sunny Michigan days. Pragya was radiant. Her joy was the kind that spreads to everyone around her without her even trying.

The reception at Weber's Inn brought something I've never seen. A Beatles cover band opened the dance floor, and the crowd went all in. Then the music shifted to traditional Indian music, and the crowd went just as hard. Two cultures, one dance floor, zero stopping all night.

That's what a wedding is supposed to feel like. Not a performance. Just two people bringing their worlds together and letting everyone they love celebrate right in the middle of it.

Congratulations, Pragya and Ethan. It was an honor to be there.

Jenna + Nathan - Family Tradition Tollander Tree Farm, Kimball, MI

I love a session where nobody has to try too hard.

Jenna and Nathan showed up, held hands, and just were together — and honestly, that's all I ever need. The tree farm did the rest. That soft light filtering through the rows, the old barn in the background, the quiet that comes with being somewhere that feels a little removed from everything.

These are the sessions I think about long after I've delivered the gallery.

Saturday was nothing short of magical. Sydney + Brennen said “I do” surrounded by love in a beautiful Corktown church, and then celebrated the night away at the iconic Book Tower in Detroit.

Every detail felt like a fairytale…from the way Brennen looked at Sydney with so much love as she walked down the aisle, to the joy that filled the dance floor beneath the gorgeous architecture of the Book Tower. 

It was an honor to capture such a timeless love story right here in the heart of Detroit. Congratulations, Sydney + Brennen! 🤍

When your friend of 20+ years asks you to take their engagement photos…it’s a definite YES!!!

Most of the time, when photographing friends, I can honestly say I’ve known them longer than the other person. This isn’t the case with Anthony and Karen. They went to school together. So they have history, and I love that. Anthony is a fantastic human, and Karen loves everything that he is. Can I tell you what? I adore Karen, too. Possibly more than Anthony! Kidding, not kidding.

Seriously though, I adore these two together, and I couldn’t be happier that they reconnected and are getting married next September. Congratulations to the two of you and your three sweet little ones (pups)!
