This is one of those shoots for the books so sorry this will be a long one. On Sunday I got to photograph the lovely .with.leigh after she had been contemplating doing a bo***ir shoot for a while. Leigh has spent the last few years, really making her body and health a priority and her strength is admirable.

After we got to chat at her session, she mentioned how nervous she was and what a hard time she had before the shoot not talking herself out of it. But she showed up and all because of that, she got to see how naturally beautiful she is from someone else’s point of view. Not the mirror. Not the voice in her head. And THAT is the exact reason I do this. As someone who has suffered with body image issue my whole life I get the greatest high being able to give someone a reminder that the things they say to themselves in the mirror are almost never true.

Leigh, you are beautiful outside but even more importantly, INSIDE. Thank you for being wonderful to work with and reminding me of the meaning of my art. 🖤

Also, I may still be listening to your Spotify playlist… Anyone who can include Chappell, Reba and AC/DC on the same playlist is an A+ in my book. 🤣🤣

I knew I was going to like when she came in and said to leave on my very obscure, very gay, and very favorite Spotify playlist😍🤣

And my gut was correct - She wasn’t just super cool with great taste in music - she was a NATURAL during her shoot, fiercely strong, and such a positive energy! (Peep that last one for a shot of the good vibes she was radiating the entire time.)

I’ll say it again people. I work with the best ones. 🥹

You’ve heard of swimming with the fishes…but how about swimming with the faes? 🍃💧☀️

Got to spend some time swimmin around with during a STUNNING sunset this week. I’m pretty sure we only get to capture sunsets like this a few times in our career so i’ll consider myself grateful 😂
