Captured this shot of the Nubble Lighthouse on a trip to Maine over the summer.

Fun Fact: The Nubble Lighthouse is one of the most photographed lighthouses in the US. Also, it was the last lighthouse in the US to be automated. It had over 30 lighthouse keepers between 1879 and 1987 but was finally automated in 1987. 🌊

Ben Franklin in Middlebury, VT for your Tuesday.

Fun Fact: The chain originated in Boston in 1877 as Butler Brothers, a mail-order wholesaler selling general and variety-store items. In the early 20th century, Butler Brothers had over 100,000 customers in the US. The company founded the Ben Franklin chain in 1927. They represented Ben Franklin’s saying “A penny saved is a penny earned.” 🪙

Here’s a film shot of an antique car at Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury, Vermont.

Fun fact: Cold Hollow Cider Mill recently celebrated 50 years in business. They produce cider the traditional way using a century-old rack-and-cloth press process. They serve fresh cold and hot cider, cider donuts, and Vermont maple creemees.

Remembering a pleasant walk across the Harpers Ferry Truss Railroad Bridge.
