The beginning of fall in Vermont. The leaves are starting to change colors at a rapid pace. I wish this season didn't pass by so quickly! There are more back roads to explore and little time to capture all this beauty before the leaves fall. Enjoy your day!

Flowers+Birds=Beautiful! I was taking pictures of some pretty lupines when this cute Eastern Phoebe quickly landed on one in front of me. Cool moment.

I always like seeing the color of an Orchard Oriole’s vibrant chestnut plumage. I wouldn’t have spotted it in the shrubs if it hadn’t been for the flash of orange passing by me. It always makes me pause when I see one, wondering if it was a Robin I just saw or something else. I was lucky that this one landed not far from where I was standing giving me an opportunity to take a picture of it before flying off again.

Chasing the northern lights! It was unfortunately too cloudy in Vermont so I made an impromptu road trip to York, Maine hoping to catch a glimpse of this spectacular light show. It did not disappoint! I think I missed the window of when the lights were directly over the lighthouse but it was definitely worth the long drive to see what I did in person.

💖🌸 Magnolia and cherry blossoms are in full bloom. It was extra beautiful seeing them at sunset and with an almost full moon.

I had the opportunity to watch these impressive and acrobatic short eared-owls flying high and low over some farm fields while they hunted for its next meal. The owls were just starting to appear in the fields when I arrived at the wildlife refuge which allowed me to capture them in different lighting situations right up until the sun was setting. Where I live you can only see these owls during the winter - a first for me! Nature is cool!

Portland Head Lighthouse - It’s always worth the early wake-up call to watch the sun come up. I especially like watching the sky change colors as the sun slowly rises. Beautiful place to see a sunrise!
