If you’ve ever been in my house, you might notice the many photos of my children are not of them perfectly posed and smiling at the camera. Instead, you’ll find a tiny Jack glancing down in his Easter suit…a young Hattie holding her stuffed wolf while gazing out the window…a 5th grade Sophia practicing her trumpet…an innocent little Nell watching the chaos of a state fair. These are the photos that remind me of the moments I’ll hold onto forever.

At some point, I had to ask myself how to bring the images I love capturing back to the table. Don’t get me wrong, a perfectly posed image always has a place at the table…but the desire to create an image that makes parents feel what I felt when capturing my own children… has always been too strong to ignore. This is why I’ve introduced Storyteller Sessions to the LU lineup. The name is obvious…to tell the story of any particular moment in time. To make any hour of any day a milestone.

When booking portrait sessions online, you’ll find the Storyteller option. Choosing this option for a session tells me you want the beautiful moments collected and made into a story for you to cherish forever. I don’t focus on perfectly posed images and smiles…I simply observe and capture. Can’t decide which option to choose? Shoot me a message and we’ll talk it through.
