Announcing Auditions for
CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, The Musical

Auditions: September 22 or 23 at 6 or 7pm.
Show Dates: December 5-7 & 11-14, 2025
PREPARATION:
Prepare 20-32 bars of a song in the genre of the show that will show your vocal skills/range - No acapella - Please provide accompaniment on your phone/A Speaker will be provided.

Strong vocalists/actors and actresses are needed to fulfill these roles to tell this infamous story. Lead candidates must possess great comic timing. Note lead kids, except Charlie, will be played by older teen/adult 20s due to vocal demands. Veruca must be skilled in ballet. Lead Kids other than Charlie will be cast older (older teens thru 20s) due to vocal demands. There are a few adult comic, non-singing roles.

SHOW DESCRIPTION
The world-famous W***y Wonka is opening the gates to his mysterious factory…but only to a lucky few. Charlie Bucket and four other golden ticket winners will embark on a life-changing journey through Wonka’s world of pure imagination including chocolate waterfalls, nutty squirrels and the great glass elevator, all to be revealed by Wonka’s army of curious Oompa-Loompas. Musical favorites include “The Candy Man,” “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket,” “Oompa Loompa Song,” “Pure Imagination ” and new songs written for the Broadway show creating an unforgettable musical experience for all ages!

W***Y WONKA
The sly, charming star of the show. Lithe, eccentric. His larger than life persona can go from charming and comical, to magically mysterious and dark.

CHARLIE BUCKET
Sweet, smart, hopeful and loving. A boy with wonderful innocence and vulnerability.

TECHNICAL DANCERS
Dancers will perform technical dances utilizing Oompa Loompa puppets, be German dancers, dancing squirrels, etc.
Suggested age: teen and adult males and females/Must be skilled dancers-
Ballet skills a plus for a few who will also be dancing Squirrels who perform ballet.
GRANDPA JOE
Impish. He is Charlie’s imaginative, fun, kind and loving grandfather. After many years being confined to a bed, his childish energy returns when Charlie finds the Golden Ticket.
