Relate? As much as it feels like it, it's not you. Turns out taking photos is just awkward and it shows. Here are the tricks I use as a brand photographer to help people who hate being photographed get photos they actually like of themselves.

**LOOKING FOR AN EDITOR**

I'm looking for someone who's able to edit:

• Brand photography (occasional Photoshopping, retouching eyes skin, teeth, and sometimes hair)
• Headshots (Editing backgrounds, editing skin, teeth, eyes, hair)
• Event photography (basic editing)

Happy to discuss pay for each different project need.

Here's how you'll know you're a good fit:

• You like to figure things out on your own—self-starter kind of energy
• But you also aren't afraid to ask questions and speak up for what you need to get the job done *well*
• You're genuinely interested in photo editing, not just looking for extra cash
• You're collaborative, open to feedback, and are happy to share your ideas too
• You're the kind of person who's constantly learning new approaches to editing (even if just on Youtube)
• You know Lightroom & Photoshop inside out
• You're looking for long-term collaborations

Sneak peeks from ’s 007 Gala 😯

HAVE I TOLD YOU LATELY HOW MUCH I LOVE MY JOB??? For like 7 years now it’s been a dream to get to shoot at The Appell Center. Not even on my radar that I could shoot FOR them.

I’ve gotten to shoot there a couple times at that point. And now THIS? Like WHAT?

Life is so good, guys. Follow your dreams. Make friends everywhere. Get good at what you do. Things happen.

When Gina told me how much color was in her house and home office, I was super cautious about the idea.

Because the more color you have in your photos without a clear direction of what your updated website’s going to look like, the more you risk your photos & design clashing.

But she was adamant about it being a part of her youthful personality, and she wanted to highlight it.

Once she showed me the space and we balanced it out with her outfits (kept it more neutral with white and blue and just a pop of pink), everything came together magically.

It’s never a right-or-wrong situation in your branding elements. It just has to make sense within the context of what your brand is, and the more me talk it through, the clearer it becomes.

Which is why we put so much emphasis on the planning portion of your session.
