Only getting head shots during your branding session as a business owner?
I get why that's often the go to. And to be fair, you do *need* headshots, because your ideal client needs to be able to see you. It's part of human connection.
But. If you're only getting headshots, your missing the opportunity to illustrate your brand story, which will help you to connect with your ideal client.
A while back, Cassie from Cass Design Co., a North Carolina based interior designer, reached out to me to work with her brand.
Her vision was clear: she needed imagery that reflected her modern classic coastal style while honoring the thoughtful process behind her work. The home she designed in York County, Virginia was layered with soft coastal hues, natural textures, and lush greenery - her design was calm, elevated, and deeply intentional.
My goal was to create a gallery of images that felt as refined and light as her brand itself. I focused on capturing each space as a whole, while also highlighting the small, beautiful details that make her designs so distinctive. The result? Bright, lifelike images that showcase not just the rooms, but the feeling of being in them.
To complete her visual story, I photographed her in action- arranging greenery in the kitchen, styling pillows in the primary bedroom- alongside relaxed, natural headshots throughout the home. I created images that would serve her across her website, social media, and future marketing with ease.
We went BEYOND headshots, because great branding doesn’t just show your gorgeous face. It shows what you do and how you do it.
