I’m heartbroken to hear about the unexpected passing of Peyton from the Virginia Oyster Company. I first met him at the Yorktown Farmers Market, and I’ll never forget his energy — always full of life, always smiling, and shining bright like a summer day.
His oysters were incredible, but what stood out even more was his passion — not just for his company, but for the love he had for his family. You could see it in the way he talked about his wife and his two little girls — they were his whole world.
I’m sharing a few pictures from when I first met him at the market — such a special memory that I’ll always hold close.
My heart is with his family during this unimaginable loss. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. Rest peacefully, Peyton. You made a difference and will be deeply missed.
