'The Many Faces of Nala'

No dogs ever pose. Somehow Nala seems to perform.

Whether she’s demanding attention, soaking up the sunshine, giving her best “but im adorable” look, or melting into full relaxation mode, Nala always has something to say with her expressions. Her personality comes through in every photograph, which made this session fun.

A great portrait isn’t always about perfect lighting or composition—sometimes it’s reckognizing when a subject wears every emotion right on their face and telling that story. Nala does it effortlessly. No really she didn't want to put ANY effort in hahaha

What a week. 6 flights, 2 states, and one story I’ve been waiting to share.

I had the privilege of documenting Victors Aviation as they received a FREE aircraft through Textron Aviation/Cessna’s Top Hawk program — an incredible moment for an incredible team. These guys have built something special, and getting to help tell their story as it led to this win was something I won’t forget.

Huge thanks to the team at Textron/Cessna for the hospitality and for making this all happen.

Also got my first real taste of air-to-air shooting… and yeah, that’s a memory that’s sticking with me.

This week really put “HAVE CAMERAS | WILL TRAVEL” to the test — and I can’t wait to show you what we created.

Big congratulations to Victors Aviation 👏

This award could NOT have happened to a greater group of people!! Flight schools and universities all over the country applied to this program and Victors was one of only FIVE to be selected. Stay tuned for what's next... 📺

"Makes the Dream Work"

There’s something special about engagement sessions—two people right in the middle of it all, excited for what’s ahead and fully present with each other. That kind of energy is hard to fake, and it always finds its way into the photos.

We had to call an audible the morning of (Tidal Basin crowds had other plans), but honestly… it didn’t take anything away from what mattered. We found our rhythm, chased the light, and captured something real.

Grateful you trusted me with this chapter of your story. Wishing you both a lifetime of moments like this 🤍

'Unto the Abyss Anew"

Back where it all started 📸

Walking into yesterday felt like stepping into a time capsule. This is where I first found my rhythm behind the lens — mats worn with years of hard rounds, familiar faces, that quiet intensity in the air before big moments.

Being there to photograph dear friends receiving their black belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was something special. I’ve watched so many of these journeys from blue belt beginnings to this milestone, and to capture this moment for them — the tears, the pride, the embraces — reminded me why I fell in love with both photography and this community in the first place.

Grateful to reconnect with old friends and honored to witness the next chapter of their journey. 🖤🥋

Still feeling deeply grateful after last weekend’s Teaching Artist Training with . Honored to be part of a community that takes art, service, and commitment so seriously and with such immense compassion. As a photography instructor, I’m fired up to put this training to work! I also had the chance to document my fellow tawgs in action.

'The Quantum of Sight'

I've read that birds have the ability to see the quantum world and that is how they're able to migrate over thousands of miles and arrive and the very same locations on the earth; year after year. They SEE the world differently than we do. Not metaphorically, but physically. They SEE magnetism and partical physics and render decisions from those observations and that fascinates me.

And whenever I hear a flock flap their wings I'm compelled to take a look. Sometimes I'm fortunate enough to have my camera on hand. I wonder what quanta they observe in me...?
