It is 2019... how old are our lovely, reliably brilliant lenses now?

Picked up a terrific 50 1.4 (non-coated) today. Comparing the early, non-coated version on the left, to the Multi-coated version on the right. Both are remarkable! But you can clearly see the yellowing of the non-coated lens in the left.

I will leave the non-coated exposed to the sun beginning today, and see how long it takes natural, direct UV exposure to eliminate (or at least reduce) the yellow tint. I will keep you updated ;)

Our recent weekend antics in the Mojave Desert, Wonder Valley and Twentynine Palms are presenting visual dividends. Shooting with Nikon D800 and Super Tak 50 1.4. I just can't seem to remove this lens from my DSLR ;)
