Indigo Acres

Indigo Acres Hello friends! Welcome to Indigo Acres, I love that you’re here! Live With Passion. Love With Purpose.

Join me in my journey to finding purpose in life, as I dive into this new adventure of creating a space that connects us all!

09/08/2026

I have spent hours upon hours this weekend working on updating the Indigo Acres website. And somewhere in the middle of all that work, something happened that I never could have planned for. I reached out to a very special client we hosted because I needed permission for something on the website. What came back to me was deeply personal. It was vulnerable. It was the kind of message you read once…and then have to sit with for a while.

I cried.

Not because I was sad, but because I was overwhelmed by the weight of what they shared with me and the realization that something we created here had meant far more than I ever knew. Sometimes we are so busy building something that we don't stop to see what it has become for someone else.
And sometimes, the universe has a way of showing us. In the most unexpected moment. Through the most unexpected person. With words that reach somewhere deep inside you.

Their message changed something for me. It made me think about Indigo Acres differently.
About why we started this. About what I hope people feel when they come here. About the things people carry quietly that we may never know about.

And it led me to create something new.

Please Stay. 🤍

I don't know where this adventure is going to take us. I've said that from the very beginning.

But you best believe…The Universe does.

Maybe this little place is becoming something much bigger than I ever imagined. A place for cows and people. For laughter and quiet. For memories and healing. For taking a breath when life feels like too much.

And maybe, sometimes, it's simply a place that reminds someone:

There is still more to come.
More sunsets.
More unexpected moments.
More people to meet.
More memories to make.
More reasons to keep going.
So I created a page for that.

Please Stay.
I hope you'll take a moment to visit it. ❤️

And to the person who unknowingly sparked this…Thank you for trusting me with something so deeply personal. You will probably never know what your words set into motion. 💜

One year ago today, these two souls were delivered home to us. 🐮💙🐮💜

We thought we were bringing home two Highland cows; we had no idea we were bringing home the beginning of something that would change our lives.

There were no high expectations. No perfect blueprint. Just two little cows named Wally and Willow, a little acreage, and a feeling that something special might grow here.

And somehow…it did.

What started with two Highland cows and a girl with a dream, has become so much more than we ever imagined. They’ve brought muddy boots, scratched noses, unexpected lessons, quiet moments, so much laughter, a whole lot of love, and a kind of healing that you’d have to experience to understand.

They’ve introduced us to people we may have never crossed paths with, created memories we’ll carry forever, and somehow turned a little piece of our acreage into a place where people can slow down, breathe, reconnect with nature, and simply be. Along the way, these two became more than cows.

They became the beginning of Indigo Acres.

A place to pause.
A place to breathe.
A place to reconnect.

A place where sometimes the best moments are the simplest ones; a warm nose nudging your hand, a quiet pasture, or a Highland cow looking at you like you’re the most interesting person in the world.

One year later, we still don’t know exactly where this adventure will take us. And honestly? We kind of like it that way. Because some of the most beautiful things in life aren't planned. Sometimes, they simply arrive at your doorstep with four hooves and a lot of hair.

Happy one-year to our original two! Thank you for starting a beautiful adventure we never could have imagined.

We’re so glad you came home.

Sometimes, you just need goat naps to make the day feel better. Luke is often misunderstood as being the bully or ornery (because he is), but deep down, he’s a certified good boy. Yes, he was full on snoring and yes, my hand had to hold his head up so he stopped startling himself every 2 minutes. 🐐🥰

When I first decided to start this adventure, I almost gave up before I even really began. I would create so much unnecessary anxiety in my head, wondering if someone would love this place and our cows as much as I do.

Would they understand what I was trying to create? Would they feel the same kind of peace here that I could feel? Will they think the cows are clean enough, or will the property ever look less "lived" in and more photo-worthy? Am I talking too much during a session or not enough? I could overthink it so much that sometimes it would completely freeze me in my tracks. Putting something you care this deeply about into the world is THE most vulnerable thing I've done in a very long time.

And now.....

I have well over 90 people waiting for me to get back to them about visiting Indigo Acres, and the list keeps growing 🫢; I don't think that will ever not be completely wild to me.

I've been waiting on finalized fall sports schedules before I could start putting our fall calendar together, because behind Indigo Acres is still just me - trying to balance the cows, this little dream, my husband, my kids, my grandkids, sports schedules, and regular life right alongside all of it.

But I finally have those schedules; I'm working on our fall availability, AND I'll be launching online booking options soon!! 👏

For everyone who has been sitting patiently in my text messages, email, and all my social media accounts waiting to hear from me...

THANK YOU.

Seriously. Your patience has been insane, and I appreciate it more than you know. I haven't forgotten about you, and I'll be working my way through everyone who has reached out very soon.

It's funny to think that one of my biggest fears in the beginning was wondering if anyone would love this little place as much as I do.

Because then you all showed up.

You sat in the pasture. You loved on our cows. You brought your kids. You planned surprises. You told your friends, your family, your co-workers. You sent me messages and pictures afterwards. You shared pieces of your lives with me.

And little by little, you showed me that maybe I didn't need to be so afraid to share this dream with other people. Showing up matters.

Which brings me to one little favor....

If you've ever visited Indigo Acres, or we have visited you, would you consider leaving us a review?

Reviews help new people find us, but more importantly, they help them understand what Indigo Acres actually is before they ever step through the gate. It doesn't have to be long or perfectly written. Tell them about your favorite cow (I know you have one). Tell them about what your kids still talk about. Tell them about the moment that made you laugh, the quiet you didn't realize you needed, or what it was like to just slow down and exist with the cows for a little while.

Those words help someone who has never been here understand that Indigo Acres is about so much more than just coming to pet a cow.

And for the girl who almost talked herself out of doing this because she was terrified no one else would understand it...those words will mean more than you probably realize.

So, thank you.

For the reviews.
For the messages.
For telling your friends.
For coming back.
For your ridiculous amount of patience while I figure this fall schedule out.
And most of all, for loving this little place and these cows right along side me. 💜🐮

Fall MooMents are Coming!!!!
And apparently...
I have about 90+ messages to get back to first 😅🤪

I am so incredibly proud of what Indigo is becoming. We had a group today whom one of the gentleman stated he was scared; the cows are bigger than he expected and the fear of one running after him was one of the reasons. By the end of our session, he thanked me for how comfortable I made them feel and making sure they were doing good. I never push anyone to do more than they are comfortable with. The pure laughter in their voices though when they face that fear and end up loving the cows so much is one of the best feelings in the world. I love that my guests are facing fears, calming their minds, and fulfilling their hearts! Enjoy a picture of Wally facing his fear, the tractor. 😂
