Our liquid gold has arrived and I’ve never been more excited to receive a package. This did not come from Avon but rather the tack room store from SC, more expensive? Yes, but they arrived in less than 4 days and I stocked up for the next couple months!

Adventures of Earl and Monica! Over a week ago I found a bird that fell from its nest in the barn. Somehow, the cows didn’t trample it so I gloved up and placed it into a makeshift nest as I couldn’t find where it fell from. Amazingly enough, mom returned to feed (Earl) every day until Earl was able to fly away on its own. I miss that little one already.

And now we have Monica, she seemingly appeared out of no where on Saturday. She returned again during a private session on Sunday and hung out with myself, the cows, and a very lucky couple that wasn’t expecting this added bonus. We often have stray cats appear but she’s different. Super friendly, likely a neighbors cat I would assume; but she comes over often and hangs out with the cows, hiding out in the tall grass. She greets us every evening and helps us take the cows back to the barn. We reward her with fresh water and a tiny scoop of food. Last night, she caught a mouse in the barn and she was SO proud to show us her work. She walks us all back to the porch and goes on her way for the evening. I’ve been watching all local pages for a missing cat and will keep to look if she is owned by anyone, but until then, we will continue to care for her and let her enjoy her company as she LOVES people and the cows.

It’s been a busy week here so far; the heat is a lot on the babies so we went and got extra pools because Willow is possessive of hers. 😅

Our basement flooded, our septic backed up, and our house is currently getting much needed siding. If you have reached out, I will get back to you. Between hosing the cows down and having sessions, we have a basement to clean up as well. Great news though! We can use our bathrooms again 🤭 Shout out to A& M Pumping for getting us back up and running!

Remember those beautifully colorful ribbons I shared a while back? Well...it's finally time to tell you why. 💜

For months, I've been searching for a meaningful way for guests to leave a small piece of their heart here at the farm; a way to honor their journey, celebrate their healing, and create something beautiful from the moments we share together.

I am excited to introduce Whispers in the Wind at Indigo Acres.

More than just colorful ribbons, each one will represent a moment of hope, healing, gratitude, courage, remembrance, or simply taking a deep breath and choosing yourself. As the ribbons dance in the breeze, they will become a gentle reminder that every person who visits leaves a little bit of light behind and that none of us are alone.

This has been on my heart for a long time, and I can't wait to share this special tradition with all of you. Already visited? Don't worry, I am placing a gratitude ribbon for each person who has already held space here during your private sessions; all 90 of you so far! Whispers in the Wind will be ready to launch this Sunday!🐮

Doing what we can to keep these babies cool during this heat wave. Even Wally came over to get watered down and he HATES the water. Send positive vibes to those with livestock this week; and help your neighbor if they need it. Stay safe and cool!! As you can see from the picture, Walter absolutely has a favorite spot to be sprayed 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

The Moo-Moos and I are excited to invite you to the very first Goodnight, Cows: Stories at Sunset

If you've visited the farm before, you know we're always looking for simple ways to help people slow down & enjoy being present. This felt like the perfect fit.

This Saturday evening, bring a blanket, grab a spot on the grass, & spend some time with the cows as the sun starts to set. Throughout the evening, Scarlet (our daughter) will be reading the beloved classic Goodnight Moon. And if you know Scarlet, you know she doesn't just read a story, she brings it to life! ☺️

This is our very first 'Goodnight, Cows' event, so we're keeping it simple and offering it as a FREE WILL DONATION. If families enjoy it, we'd love to continue it and feature a different story each time.

Not all heros wear capes. Some come in the form of sisters dropping everything they were doing to go on an adventure with Skin So Soft in hand; with a goal of helping Walter (and the other two of course). Walter is super tasty to the flies, & as you can see from the photo; they’ve been loving on his eyes and created a pretty irritated spot; along with his legs, they have been absolutely relentless and drawing blood on the poor guy. Kris Epps Martinez & Amy Epps Rolle THANK YOU for being Walters heros tonight!! It is the most relief he has had in weeks and not one fly has landed on his face all evening. The company was great as well and we appreciate you both SO much!! My mama heart is happy knowing that they all 3 are going to be well rested for tomorrow’s big event now that the flies will leave them alone.

🚨Walter has a very important SOS!!!🚨

Do I have any local Avon reps that have the original Skin So Soft oil on hand? I ordered 3 jumbo bottles to be overnighted back in June 9th and they cancelled my order. We are substituting everything from tractor supply and it just doesn’t work the same. These flies are relentless and their bites are painful so would love to find at least a bottle while I attempt to reorder!
