Andrew & Elise’s wedding day from July 26, 2025 is finally hitting the feed and I’m soooo excited to finally be sharing this with you. They had such a fun wedding party, including their adorable dogs as the flower girls, and as always it was so hard to pair down all of my favorite moments into these 20 slides. When sharing these wedding days, I always try to share little bits from each part of the day and do my best to highlight those in between, candid moments that help make the wedding unique to them, while also showing off some of my favorite posed moments as well. I loved that they involved their dogs, which are so important to them, I loved the dress colors & uniqueness of each one, I loved the little details thru the reception (like their adorable cake topper) that also was a reflection of them as a couple, and I also loved that we had a special private vow moment during golden hour to really just soak in all that had happened that day.
Everything came together so beautifully for them and I feel so honored to have been able to document it all. They are such a special couple and I can’t believe they’ve already been married for over a year 💙

Finally getting a July recap post together ❤️ it was a slower month, business wise, which I am a bit thankful for because it was so hot & that wildfire smoke was a bit tricky too. However, that smoke did make for some cool haze when it was no longer dangerous to be out in 😍
This past month I had the honor of photographing 11 different sessions & 1 wedding. The types of sessions included a couple of extended family sessions, individual family sessions, engagement sessions and a newborn session, along with a cover shoot session for the chamber.
August is looking to be a bit busier and I think I can basically say my schedule is all full up unless you are wanting a week day morning session. September still has some openings though! So if you are still hoping to get on the booking calendar, please reach out soon so I can get you in.

I love doing these recap posts because it’s so wonderful to look back at all of the amazing people I had a chance to work with that month. This career is filled with so much comparison, wanting to be chosen / picked, hoping you put out work that people love, self doubt, and constant wondering that it’s grounding to just see what I’ve done.

What a joy it is to serve people thru photography and it’s my forever goal to continue to create great work and create a great experience along the way. If you’ve worked with me and have any feedback you’d like to share, I’d always love to hear it. We love positive words of affirmation, however I am also always looking to grow & improve too.

Summer is soaring by and I hope you’re soaking in every bit ❤️

Yesterday would have been my mother-in-laws birthday, and this is a post that I’ve wanted to write and has been on my mind for a long time so yesterday I realized it was time to finally take the time to share it.
Just a little insight into where my head is at when I’m working with you, whether it’s a wedding day or a family session. My goal is to create images that you will cherish & hold close to you, especially after people you love in those photos may be gone. I want to create images you can share with your grandkids someday. It’s my hope to freeze time and help you remember what life was like, what everyone looked like and tell the story of what that time was like. I want to preserve history.

When I’m in watching a Mother/Son dance at a wedding, I’m thinking about the photo we have on our wall of my husband & his Mom. I love that photo. So when I’m photographing a wedding, these moments are important to me to capture well.

When I’m working with families, extended families, I am thinking about the photo I love of my father in law & mother in law where they are cuddled in close. She was feeling good that day, and I am so glad we got those photos because it was one of the last good days before she passed away from cancer. So when I’m working with your family, I am thinking about the importance of capturing your family well because you just don’t know what the future holds.

I am thankful for the gift of photography and the ability to create moments that people can cherish forever. That they can turn to and remember what that day was like, to look back on and to share with others.

This is your friendly reminder to just take the photos. Don’t be afraid to ask for a photo with people you love, to document your life. Photos hold so much value and I am so thankful for these photos that I have from my own life that we display thru our house. To help remember and keep her memory alive and for my kids to always be able to look at. They may not have ever met her, but they know her thanks to photos ❤️

What a great month! I love the month of May. The weather starts to warm up, everything is blooming, and it just feels like everything is alive again. (Both with nature and with the schedule). This month it seemed like I found a great balance. Enough work to stay busy but not so much that I felt overwhelmed. This year I’m really hoping to sit in the sweet spot as much as possible and be able to focus on motherhood as well. The balance is so tricky to achieve but each week o continue to work at it. This month brought me branding sessions, extended family sessions, maternity sessions, my first quinceañera session (I can’t wait to share more), a newborn session, a fun luncheon event, two weddings, and some studio sessions as well.

Thank you, May, for all of the beauty you brought. The gorgeous weather, the end of preschool for my daughter, the start of slow pitch for my husband, more outside time, and so many fun sessions.

June is my birthday month, so I’m a bit biased, but I think June is the best and I can’t wait to see all the fun that happens ❤️

I’m going to end this with, hopefully you’ve read this far, if you have… I’d love to hear what your favorite part of May was? What was a big win? Or what did you love most about this past month?

PS I was going thru this post and realized I forgot to add my friends adorable 10 year anniversary shoot annnd photos from the Lanturn family meet up 🤦🏼‍♀️ and now it’s too late to go back & add them. So this is almost all of the May sessions

I’ve been waiting to share these photos I had the honor of taking last summer of for ‘s alumni magazine. The article they shared about the amazing work Maggie does needed to be shared first before I could share on socials and I’m just so excited that I can now post them here. I’ve admired and have followed the work that she’s been doing and all of the good she’s done thru the flowers she sells, such an absolute joy to be able to help share her story. If you don’t follow her already, please go follow so now. The bouquets she sells go towards buying Christmas gifts for kids in need and I love that she’s been doing this since she was a young girl. She has a road side stand that you can support her with but she’ll often be at zeelands peddlers markets as well. If you are looking for a flower bouquet, please go support her ❤️💐

The early spring is typically a slower season, and this year was no different. It’s during this season that I really lean into doing studio sessions and have a chance to work with more people looking for updated headshots or branding sessions. What fun about spring though is watching everything outside come to life and having the opportunity to do sessions with the Tulips. Truthfully, I do wish I had more opportunities to do Tulip sessions this year but it just wasn’t really an option & that’s ok ❤️

Thank you to everyone who trusted me these past 2 months to photograph you! I feel so honored to work with each newborn, wedding, branding, or family session that comes my way. 2026 is off to a wonderful start and I’m so excited to see what the summer season brings!

This is your sign to get Downtown Holland for the Tulip Time Festival and support the Dutch Dancers. I was able to take my kiddos downtown the other night to check out the dancing (and get my favorite french fries & Elephant ears from George's food stands) and it is truly one of my favorite parts of Tulip Time week. If you haven't been yet to check it out, you still have time. The Dutch Dancers will be dancing every night the rest of the week and its free to watch. 🌷🌷

** If you know any of these dancers, please feel free to tag them!
