It's been a busy summer as my son graduated high school and we are preparing for him to go off to college so I haven't had my camera out much. This past weekend we took a trip to Erie, PA to visit Waldameer Park with our friends. After our day of fun we stopped at Presque Isle State Park to hang out on the beach before travelling home. We were treated to a fantastic sunset over the lake as the summer sun descends toward the horizon.

Recently my wife did an overnight trip to Deep Creek, MD for our anniversary. As we were out exploring we stopped at this overlook at US 48 in Mt. Storm, WV to take in the incredible view. These are the Ridge-and-Valley Appalachian Mountains viewed from atop the Allegheny Front...where the Allegheny Mountains terminate.
