What an incredible five days in Da Nang for the weltwärts South East Asia Partner Conference 2026! Hosted by .ev and .vietnam, this gathering brought together partners from across the region to strengthen our shared goals and foster deep, lasting connections.

We were thrilled to represent VEN alongside the .vietnam team at our joint stand, where we had the opportunity to share our conservation stories and showcase the vital work happening on the peninsula with a community of passionate changemakers.

The week was packed with highlights that went far beyond the conference table. From the vibrant energy of the Cultural Night, where we celebrated the diverse traditions of our regional partners, to an inspiring field trip, led by VEN, to the lush forests of Sơn Trà, it was a journey of both professional growth and cultural immersion. Witnessing everyone experience the beauty of the "Monkey Mountain" firsthand was a powerful reminder of why protecting these natural narratives is so essential.

We are leaving this conference feeling energized and incredibly grateful for the collaboration between & .ev & .vietnam that made this event possible. Here’s to the future of regional partnership and the impact we can create when we work together!

The March Epic Trip was about so much more than just the photos we ended up with; it was about the raw, unfiltered moments that happened between the frames. From the very beginning, our group fully immersed themselves in the grit of the Sơn Trà Peninsula, spending hours sitting on the forest floor with necks tilted back and massive telephoto lenses aimed at elusive Reptiles. This intense focus in the jungle was balanced by moments of discovery among ancient brick ruins, where the team took time to appreciate the incredible scale of Vietnam’s history.

Beyond the field work, we traded our cameras for chopsticks during a hands-on cooking session, mastering the art of the perfect fried rice alongside the VEN crew. The journey eventually led us back to the courtyard for our final showcase. Under the warm glow of string lights and seated in camping chairs, the group presented their best work—ranging from vibrant Water Dragons to the majestic "Queens of Primates"—and shared the personal stories behind every single click.

This group brought incredible heart and humor to VEN-Land, and we are so proud of the family we became during these weeks on the peninsula.

On Friday the 10th, we gathered in VEN-Land for a very special premiere: the showcase of Hannah’s film, "Insects of Son Tra."

Over the last two weeks, Hannah has been on a mission to document the "tiny but mighty" residents of the peninsula. It was truly fascinating to see the forest floor through her macro lens and realize just how much life is happening right beneath our feet! 🎥✨

During the showcase, Hannah shared her stunning experiences from her 14 days in the undergrowth—the patience, the discovery, and the stories behind every tiny frame. Her work is a beautiful reminder that the smallest creatures often have the biggest stories to tell.

To wrap up the evening, Paven gave Hannah her well-deserved certificate, marking the end of an epic two-week journey.

We had a great time having you with us in Da Nang, Hannah—thank you for macrofying our mission! 🤝🏆

During her two weeks in VEN-Land, Hannah shifted her focus from the wide forest vistas to the intricate, hidden legends of the undergrowth.

Her film, "Insects of Sơn Trà," is a stunning exploration of the neighbors we often overlook—the tiny but mighty architects of the ecosystem.

Hannah spent her time macrofying the mission, documenting everything from the iridescent details of wings to the complex social behaviors happening in the leaf litter. It was a fascinating look into a world that is usually invisible to the naked eye, proving that you don't need to be big to have a massive story to tell. 📸✨

We are so proud of the patience and artistry Hannah brought to the peninsula. This project isn’t just about insects; it’s about appreciating the full spectrum of biodiversity that makes Sơn Trà so special.
