This Wall and I

No longer looking for myself, but seeing my Self in the Now. Finding “me” in details of daily manifestations of life. The inexplicable dash, an oftentimes unrecognizable blur between life and death.

Weathered, like this wall, wearing remnants of past experiences. Layers of life peeling away to expose the very foundation of existence – the core. The necessary darkness revealing the light as it dances with the shadows.

Hands have touched this wall just as hearts have etched my Spirit, leaving their indelible marks. Stories shared with both, often as a whisper and sometimes screams.

Look close enough, you’ll see the woman in the wall. Look deep enough, you’ll find the wall within the woman.

We stand, this wall and I.
