When you are joined at the bar by a stranger…do you make judgement before making contact? Or are you that type of person that’s friendly, easygoing and could strike a conversation with anyone. I’m the latter by the way. Anyway, this bird comes in to the bar, doesn’t speak, doesn’t order a drink but helps herself to a bowl of sugar. Rude you must think? Think again friend. Living above the bar apparently gives you certain rights, one of these appears to be passage to all four corners, all doors and windows…. And free sugar on tap. Or maybe cane eh?

The photo opportunities created by this little character were endless. He made shuttle runs back to his family with beak full of brown sugar.

What amazed me about this particular image was the fact that you can actually see his tongue as he almost announces to his family in the rafters that he’s made another successful mission to obtain a mouthful of Tate & Lyle’s finest blend.

What an amazing place !!
