Rhinos, with their awe-inducing presence and unique appearance are some of the most fascinating animals on the planet.

Captured here are rhinos taking their mud bath to put a protective layer between their skin and the sun and pestering bugs.
The reason behind this is that even though they live in some of the hottest and sunniest climates, their skin isn’t that well equipped to handle it, they can sunburn easily and are also susceptible to bad bug bites.

Clicked amidst the morning mist, Jose captured this Thompson gazelle carefully treading through the territory of a lion pride in Nairobi National Park. The early morning and adverse weather conditions made it a lucrative hunting ground and hence the gazelle was carefully curating her steps.

Pride on the Prowl

A close-knit mostly matriarchal society these big cats, usually remain in the same pride, with the males being expelled and occasionally they may expel females as well.

A heartwarming story within the frame, wherein a mother reached the opposite side but found her calf missing. While most creatures were struggling for their lives, she first stopped and watched for her calf, then seconds later despite the danger of predators and drowning went back to the other side to look for her calf.
