I was just saying that presenting my pictures in this sort of treatment seemed great at first, but then I had to pull back. Once I put the work in the frames it was nothing but a distraction. A loud one. When I toned this down, the pictures made sense again and stood on their own.

Not to flip out about it or anything... over many years I've come to learn and accept that I'm a person that has to excavate to find what's right for the work. Like drawing... making strokes, erasing and adding more strokes and erasing... I find it. Thanks to Sue Buck for teaching me this so long ago.

I'd love to see you at the exhibition. Please come see the pictures minus the spray paint. I just finished the framing and treatment of the show and damn... I'm doing it!
