This is my best recent purchase, which is a very affordable portable thermal printer. Its a super handy printer to bring to set and to keep in your AC bag, to print out different things, like a mini lens list for the DP or a mini shot list, but also gear check list or rental check list. Or just to print a receipt prop.

If you are filming indoors during the summer's heat without airconditioning? You might want to try this!

On set we have to turn off the aurconditioning as it interferes with the audio, however few hours of summer's heat everybody gonna melt on set.

My secret weapon against this is the After sun cooling spray. Its menthol gives a cooling sensation, making it more bearable to work in the heat. And your cast and crew will thank you for bringing it!

Summer is the WORST time to shoot a film!

It might sound crazy while everybody has more free time. Most cast and crew would like go on vacation, which makes it harder to align the schedule.

And then you have the heat. Standing outside under the hot sun can be very unbearable. And filming indoors can get very hot with all the lights on, while you can't use the air conditioning as it would interfere with the audio.

Unless you must film in the summer to fit the story, I suggest to use these months to prepare your film and wait till everyone is back from their vacation and the months after the summer when the temperature has gone down and is more bearable.

Film Budget Battle, you can't aleays get what you need. Sometime you want an expensive U-crane, but the film budget only allows a sh*tty rig car contraption.

I made my own Call Sheet template, as I have seen so many cluttered and messy call sheets out there where it is even hard to find the actual filming address, I design my own Template Google Docs that has a more user friendly design, that most crew members should be easy to understand and find all the information they need on a filming day.
