I've been busy planning out my year, what my goals are and what I want to accomplish!

Change was my inspiration. Obviously changing career's isn't what I want, change is in where I shoot. So I've had a ton of response to the Host idea - I'll do a few of these and see how it all works out!

The other is traveling.

So I'm super excited to announce the first city I am traveling to.

CALGARY I will be in you from April 19-22nd! I've secured a gorgeous space ready to rock out some super hot sessions. I'm working on pricing details. Hair and make up will be avail. There will only be 6-7 spots avail. I will post details soon.

Miss C. I love highlighting curves.

So I've been doing photography for a long time. Started out like most, shooting everything and anything. Weddings, families, newborns, kids, events. I followed some amazing photographers and I just remember always wondering how they would achieve different lighting styles. I'm 99% self taught. The best way to learn in my opinion. When I first started out I used artificial lighting all the time when I shot in studio. To be honest, I had no idea how to really use them. But I used them.

Eventually, I started getting out of certain genres. Weddings and events were not for me. I've learnt I'm an intimate shooter. I like working one on one. I don't care for group shooting (which is why I don't shoot families anymore either). I've always always known I've wanted to shoot bo***ir. BUT I knew I needed to do it right. Our studio in Gravelbourg at the time had the room that had the fabric and paper backdrops. I had all sorts of chairs for props. Nothing about this environment inspired me. So we renovated.

This is where I started to slowly find the style I've been desperately trying to achieve. How can I make natural light work for me. How do I create a mood I see in my head using light I have no control over. Naturallight is different every day, different times a day and is constantly changing.

To me bo***ir, or intimate lifestyle photography is about celebrating your form. Creating art using light, shadows and your body. My approach to bo***ir is less about taking photos of a pretty face. It's about the body, mind and soul.

I use to hate shooting in mid day. The sun is so harsh. Once you learn how to make it work for you - it's the best ever!
