@ Raj's Viewfinder - Bird Series ! Saw this bird only once in the last 1 week. it was quick. just for 5-6 seconds, and then it vanished. Luckily had my 600mm lens ready and shot it.
The wings arent red, but it seems this is a male bird !
#2 - The Bold Red-winged Blackbird
Meet the Red-winged Blackbird! These iconic marsh-dwellers are hard to miss and even harder to ignore. Here are 5 quick facts:
1. Flashy Shoulders: Males sport bright red-and-yellow "badges" (epaulets) to show off to mates and warn rivals.
2. Fearless Defenders: They are famously territorial and will dive-bomb much larger animalsโeven hawks or humansโto protect their nests.
3. Natureโs Alarm Clock: Their loud, liquid "conk-la-ree!" song is one of the most recognizable sounds of spring.
4. Strength in Numbers: In winter, they gather in massive "mega-flocks" that can number in the millions.
5. Marshland Kings: They are one of the most abundant birds in North America, thriving anywhere thereโs standing water and tall reeds.
