Rest in Peace Mayor.

David Dinkins was elected New York City’s first Black mayor in 1989.

The grace and dignity he led with enriched the city he loved.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his community — including CBC founding member Charlie Rangel, who was very close with Mayor Dinkins.
