Hello 2026, I’m excited for you!

Thanks to the brilliant photographer and my friend and artist, the jewelry designer I felt authentic and true to my shining-self when making these new headshots.

Really looking forward to the year ahead for and for my life work with

We did it! We brought our 5-year-old daughter on a business trip. 🤪We simply didn’t want to be away from her for 2 weeks so we got creative.

We started by flying from to and then drove to for a private event. She had a fantastic time at the kids club!! 🩷😎🐚 We spoke on the topic of family narratives and helped participants see the immense power of their families stories for passing on their and building and in younger generations.

Then we flew from to ✈️ and spoke at another event for ‘s . While we spoke about the relationship between planning, our little one stayed with my cousin and got to play with her cousins.

This week, we made our way to for a real family vacation.

I was very nervous how it would all play out but our daughter rolled with the punches, adjusted to the time zones changes like a champ and it’s been a huge gift to spend so much time together.

Fall time crafting. The best part is you never know what will happen and what wonders you can create. My little one inspired our hunt for “good sticks” and “good leaves.” After a stop to eat cake a drink tea out of the rain, we set up shop on the kitchen table. Rubbing leaves came back to me from 3rd grade art projects. And she wanted to do the biggest leaf, which turned into a giant prop…I couldn’t help asking her to fan me while I ate these gorgeous grapes we found in the alley way on our way home.

Today, I got my bona fide Dutch passport! Six weeks ago, I officially became a dual citizen of the Netherlands and the United States, but picking up my passport today made it feel so REAL.

What does this mean? It means that I never will be separated from my daughter for reasons of citizenship. I can always live and work in the Netherlands — and the rest of Europe!

It took five and a half solid years of language and culture study, exams, paperwork, payments, and full integration into a new country and culture to get here. I’m astounded that I actually made it happen, especially alongside all the other balls I was juggling.

Thanks for all the friends and acquaintances and family - most of all ! - who supported me and cheered me on during this monumental life transition.

It started with falling in love. ❤️

Seems easy. It’s not!

Love required all I had — all my truthfulness. All my willingness. All my personal powers. It required me to change, to transform, to be born again.

So, this looks like a passport, but really, it’s my second birth certificate.

Let me say this: Whatever you are in the midst of, whatever journey you’re in the middle of, whatever sh*t you’ve got your boots stuck into…keep going.

Today, I depart on a 10 day intensive Dutch language course. In perfect Dutch fashion, I’m getting there by train and bike.

Ik heb zin in een goede tijd!

That’s us.

Both appear to improve through personal and autobiographical storytelling." - BetterAging

I worked solo for many years leading - perfect for a woman who had a lot to prove to the world.

When I shifted internally towards being of service, I realized I couldn't do that alone. Not really.

In 2018, I was fortunate to meet an incredible servant leader and business partner in my soon-to-be husband. Joining forces, and I have grown our film and podcasting team, but more importantly, our company vision.

This summer, Piet spearheaded the creation of our new company website. I'm so proud to share it with you! It exhibits our style, passion, and dedication to tailor-made media for private families, firms, and enterprises.

I must also thank our advisory board who helped us refine many elements of the new site. Thank you Fredda Herz Brown, PhD, Coventry Edwards-Pitt, Bryn Monahan, MBA, Nicole Baily and Gregory Roll.

On the new site, you can view film samples, read about our process, check out case studies, and learn about our production team.

5 Things I learned while on vacation this summer....

1. Packing your essential tools (literally or figuratively) helps smooth life transitions. Identify your essential tools and bring them with you. No matter how great the vacation rental is, I should always bring my favorite parmesan grater-lemon zester! For you, maybe it's a Swiss Army knife, meditation practice, or 20-minute solo walk around the block.

2. Plans are great, but staying open to unexpected delights is even better. One day, we thought we were headed to a museum, but instead, we switched plans and played along flat rocks while people bobbed down the river on giant tubes. It was one of the best moments of our trip. Let life take you by surprise - it's usually better than whatever you drummed up!

3. Coffee out is more expensive than making it home, but sometimes it pays off. We went to the same café each day. We made friends with the locals. When we needed a babysitter in a pinch, they were ready to step up and help us find someone!

4. Climbing to the highest point doesn't just work your muscles, it gives you time to ponder the important stuff. We drove (and then hiked) to the highest mountain top around. Seeing things from way up high gave me better perspective on my earthly goals. Dust off your shoes and get out there!

5. Know when it's time to come home. Truth be told, we stayed away a little too long. I forgot how good simple home pleasures can be. The best day of our vacation was when we were finally home and spent an afternoon reading while our daughter played in the Dutch sun.
