Join the SSA Satellite Network – Help Shape the Future of Art in Your Area
Are you passionate about connecting with artists in your community? Would you like to help shape opportunities for artists locally and across Scotland? The Society of Scottish Artists is expanding our dynamic Satellite Associate network, and we’re looking for enthusiastic members to join us.
The SSA Satellite Programme was launched in 2020 to establish creative links across Scotland’s many vibrant regions. Our Satellite Associates act as local champions—connecting the SSA with regional artists, spaces, and organisations, and ensuring that every corner of Scotland is part of our national conversation.
Over the past four years, our Satellites have been instrumental in:
- Organising exhibitions, talks, and residencies from Shetland to the Borders.
- Forging partnerships with local authorities and art spaces.
- Increasing membership and visibility for artists in their communities.
Now, we’re growing our network across Scotland, and we want you to be part of it. This is a voluntary role, but one that brings real visibility, connection, and opportunity—both for you and for artists in your area.
