Last weekend we had the pleasure of spending the afternoon with Janet and Joe. They met nearly 10 years ago at work and started dating over a year ago. This summer Joe proposed to Janet — in Hawaii! — and they are getting married this March — in Florida! (I love how much they love to travel!) Their engagement session was full of love and lots of laughter. Which isn't surprising knowing these two! Their love for each other is so kind and fun and they are just perfect together!

Never Forget.
•
The first three images after from our trip last year to Pennsylvania. During our drive around the state, we visited the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, which commemorates the site the plane crashed 20 years ago after the passengers and crew took control from the hijackers. The memorial features the Memorial Plaza, which marks the edge of the debris field and crash site; Wall of Names of the 40 passengers and crew engraved on marble panels; and debris field and crash site, the final resting place for those on the plane.

The next two images are from the Empty Sky Memorial in New Jersey, a short drive from Pennsylvania, which we visited on the way back from the Statue of Liberty.

The next image is from 2015 when we visited the Newseum in Washington, DC. The museum, which is now closed, at the time featured the 360-foot World Trade Center antennal, which fell during the attacks.

The final two pictures are from 2009 at the site of the One World Trade Center during a trip to New York for a fall photography class.

We met Addy on Sunday for her senior pictures and she was such a pleasure to work with! She's a swimmer and explained her speciality races (including one that lasts 20 laps! 😱) and we bonded over the Pattonville-Ritenour rivalry. After our session, she was going to hang out with her boyfriend's mom until he got off work later that evening, which is so incredibly sweet. Addy is a truly wonderful girl, and a pleasure to hang out with. I can't wait to share more!

AFTER ... This is what friends Ashley and Lauren looked liked after the second part of their session last week. We had a full-blown color war! Ashley and Lauren took turns throwing colored powder at each other to see how colorful they could get. It started out fun with some light throws and pretty colors floating the air and turn into all out war! BEFORE ... This is what friends Ashley and Lauren looked liked before the second part of their session last week. We started their BFF shoot with some great photos of them at the park in their awesome shirts and matching hats. There was so much hilarity and laughter and Ashley and Lauren were amazing to hang out with. We had some fun hanging out before things got messy ... Check back tomorrow to see the after photo!

These are some of my favorite people on the planet! A few weeks ago, Shannon shared that she wanted to take some pictures with her family while her parents were in town, and I jumped on this opportunity! I've photographed so many milestones for this group of amazing individuals, so getting to see everyone again was such a pleasure! They truly are amazing people!
