Traveling to Spain to shoot a movie star couple for a Super Bowl campaign made this one special. What made it even better was collaborating again with some of my favorite partners at and .

Late last year, I had reached out to my reps about a separate project Chris Hemsworth was involved in and one I felt a personal connection to, simply to express appreciation for the work and the team behind it. A few weeks later, completely unrelated to that inquiry, I got the call to join Amazon and Hungryman on an ambitious Super Bowl campaign starring , , and “Evil” Alexa.

Funny how the universe works sometimes.

Grateful for the trust and the collaboration on this one.

Twenty-plus years ago, before photography, I spent eight years in the builder’s hardware industry working for Home Depot, HD Supply, and Stanley Tools. Wow, that makes me feel aged, but I learn so much from that time, and that world has always stayed with me.

When I transitioned into commercial photography, shooting for a brand in that space has always been a goal.

Add my (slightly obsessive) pandemic cooking phase, with Food Network in heavy rotation. This project felt like two worlds colliding in the best way.

Working with one of the biggest Food Network stars, , and an iconic tool-and-appliance brand, , and seeing it come to life during the Super Bowl, made it a special experience.

Droga5 brought an epic concept to the table, and the early sneak peek had the internet buzzing. The scope was ambitious, and it required real collaboration across teams to deliver.

Grateful to the Bosch team: Boris Dolkhani, Jochen Stein, Sarah Nisenbaum, Tim Dworak, Jan-timo Balke, Kathleen Egan, M.S., Alissa Cleland, Anne-Marie N., Pam Parra-Messick, Allison Fishman, Teresa Sabatino, Isabelle Bizub, + Rebecca Anderson

Droga5: John Parker, Stacie Larsen, Justin Cannon, Cherise Woo, Brendan Dimech, Dave Stephenson, Dylan Heimbrock, Cliff Lewis, Dagmar Wong, Sunny Valencia, Meera Deepak, Sean Gerard Cushen, Caroline Osborn, Joe Watana

The motion production partners from PRETTYBIRD: Directors & + Producer .beier

My team, who helped execute every beat of it: , Christoph Prevost, Wayne Hoecherl, Richard Amies

Proud of this one. Bucket list type of shoot.

Full-circle moment: a friend from my hardware days 20+ years (he’s now a VP) sent me a picture of him and several members of the Bosch team at the Super Bowl.

The Today show paired the two projects I worked on for Super Bowl Sunday. When I saw it, my first thought was, “Wow, this is pretty cool.”
There are over 80 spots airing today, and there’s no connection between these two other than the fact that I shot the stills (trust me, I don’t have that kind of sway!). Yet, out of all the combinations, they chose these two. I’m all for the serendipity.
The last three years, I’ve had the chance to work on two Super Bowl campaigns each year, and the weight of that isn’t lost on me. I’ve been so fortunate to collaborate with incredibly talented people both behind and in front of the camera.
Happy Super Bowl Sunday, hope you enjoy these two spots! 🏈

Excited to start the year sharing new artwork for Season 3 of Wild Card Kitchen.

Collaborating with / on this was an incredible experience from start to finish. From shooting in NYC (always a favorite) to working alongside their producers and creatives who became fast friends, the energy on this set was chef’s kiss.

It was an honor working with . I’ve been a fan for a long time. I have to make my way to DC this year to dine at his restaurant.

Big thank you to the team at Dan Platt + Brian Keenan + Austin Eustice + Ashlee Espinal + Emily Pfeffer +

“Guns and Butter”, some people know the reference immediately. Others have never heard it. When I worked with recently, I asked him if people still bring it up. He said it always comes up in the barbershop, but outside of that, most conversations revolve around Mission: Impossible. We weren’t in the barbershop, but I wanted to talk about “Guns and Butter”.

Spending time with Ving reinforced something that’s easy to overlook: who you grow alongside matters. He told me he attended high school with Wesley Snipes, Angela Bassett, and Laurence Fishburne. That kind of talent concentrated in one place feels unbelievable. You realize how often excellence grows in community. People pushing each other. Holding one another accountable. And collaborating together.

Talking with Ving felt like listening to my uncle share wisdom and perspective. Every shoot leaves me with something I carry forward, and this one was no different. Beyond Guns and Butter, the lesson was about community, building circles that encourage growth, accountability, and excellence.

Grateful to the + for the opportunity, and for the chance to work with a true legend.

Thank you , , Deni Belanich
