The response from our ‘everyday heroes’ initiative has been amazing and so encouraging!

We are grateful there are amazing people doing amazing things in our communities!

To make this even more rewarding, anyone who submits a nomination until May 30 will be entered in a draw for an RGP gift card valued at more than $200.

Meet Joey and Samantha MacDonald, a couple who have gone a lot over the past few years including the tragic loss of their Jaxon at the age of 15.

With help from family and friends they somehow summoned the strength to start The JaxMac Foundation, created to carry on the legacy of Jaxon MacDonald. The Foundation provides youth with experiences and opportunities to help them learn about themselves and to expand their horizons.

They are the perfect examples of perseverance and the kind of people we believe deserve to be celebrated!

Thanks to community members, Corey Huskilson Realty, Spicer Vo Mortgage Inc and Casa Dante Hair Studio, they enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Halifax.

We are lucky to have people like Joey and Samantha in our community and we could all learn a lot from them.

There are good things happening in the world and we want to tell these stories. Please nominate someone you feel is deserving and let’s spread some positivity!

Meet Christine Pelly-Conrad.

A mother of three and RCMP officer with a list of volunteer donations and selfless acts too long to list in one post!

She was nominated after being recognized for her generosity in the community, especially in recent years and during the holiday season.

She is dedicated, hardworking and exactly the kind of person we feel deserves to be celebrated and recognized.

With help from Be Gorgeous Beauty, Casa Dante Hair Studio, Sobeys Penhorn, Cambridge Suites, Spicer Vo Mortgage Inc and others, Christine and her husband Bryan, (also a volunteer firefighter and coach) enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing weekend in downtown Halifax.

Please share so we can celebrate more people like Christine and Bryan. It was our pleasure getting to know them and hear their amazing stories!

Update!!

Deadline for submissions is Feb. 13/22!

The reaction from this has been incredible. So much so that we have confirmed we will be doing more giveaways!!

Thank you to everyone, I really am so motivated by these stories. There are amazing people out there and we want to celebrate them!

Do you know someone who has made immense sacrifices recently to help others? Someone who needs to know they are loved and appreciated and could use a break?

RGP has partnered with several local vendors and we want to give these people a day free of work or the stresses of life, multiplied by the pandemic. Donators include food to aesthetics (of course a photo session) and the list is continuing to grow!

If you know of someone who deserves a day of rest and relaxation, please message RGP PRIVATELY and we will decide who will be the first recipient.

If this goes well, we will be doing more giveaways!

Thanks to everyone for their continued support with this project. I believe the world needs positivity and this might be the best way to share some.
