Guys, just wanted to share this photo of a blue jumping spider I took back in 2019. I think I may have posted it before in an entomology group, but I thought this shiny little guy would fit right in here too.

I might try visiting the same spot again someday to see if I can find another one. Hopefully they're still around! 😍💙🩵💙🩵💙

Hyllus diardi uses its retreat as a resting palce when inactive. The jumping spider often return to its shelter after hunting and may sped hours inside it. The retreat also plays an important role during molting and various stages of its development.

How do I get over my fear of her? This is Cosette. She's a juvenile and I've had her since May. She molted and came out bigger. I wasn't scared when she was smaller but she landed on my hand yesterday and I freaked out and automatically dropped her, luckily into her enclosure. Now she's been running away from me and when she got close I had a mini panic attack. I love her. I take very good care of her. How can I get over my insect phobia? 😔💔

My dream has come true! I found jumping spider and I want to keep him and love him and name him George. I’m getting an enclosure tomorrow. Any advise on caring for my very first spider is greatly appreciated.
