This little sweetheart may have been tiny, but she was definitely in charge of her newborn shoot! 😂💕
She was absolutely precious, but if she didn’t approve of a certain prop, she made sure Mommy, her big sister AND I knew about it! 😅🙈 No negotiations, no second chances — baby had spoken! 👑
But when she did approve of a setup… oh my goodness! 😍 She would settle down and sleep literally like a baby, giving us the sweetest little moments to capture. 🥹💕
I think we can safely say this little lady already has a very strong personality — and I absolutely loved every minute of it! 💕✨
Thank you, Mommy, for allowing me to capture these precious memories of your beautiful little girl and her big sister. These are the moments you’ll treasure forever. 📸❤️

🎂💗 DAISY’S FIRST BIRTHDAY SMASH THE CAKE! 💗🎂

One whole year of this little girl! 🥹🐾 And of course, Daisy’s first birthday had to be celebrated with a very special Smash the Cake session! 🎉

I decided to make Daisy her very own birthday cake… although I must admit, it turned out looking a LOT more like a pizza than a birthday cake! 😂🍕 But hey — it was made with love, and most importantly, it was perfectly safe for her. It was filled with delicious blueberries, strawberries and banana — and judging by Daisy’s reaction, she approved! 🍓🫐🍌

🎈 The balloons were another story… Daisy found them absolutely fascinating, but also completely weird because they just… don’t move! 😂 She spent quite some time investigating these strange floating things.

👗 And then there was the dress. She looked absolutely adorable, but Daisy was convinced that if she wore a dress, she could no longer move! 😂 So instead of Daisy moving herself into position, I had to move Daisy wherever I wanted her. Little diva! 👑💕

And then we have Lily, her little sister… who apparently decided that a birthday photoshoot was the perfect opportunity for a nap. 😴😂 She wasn't particularly impressed with all the excitement — until I started making my funny noises. Suddenly, I had her attention! 😂

But the moment Lily spotted the cake, her whole attitude changed. Because let's be honest… Lily LOVES food! 👀🍰 Her brain immediately went: “I WANT THAT. NOW.” 😂

These two girls gave me so many laughs during this session, and capturing their little personalities made Daisy’s first birthday even more special. 💕🐾

And a very special THANK YOU to Dyno Mutt Mobile Grooming for pampering these two beauties the day before their photoshoot! 🛁✨ They absolutely loved you guys — I even peeked through the window and saw all the kisses they were giving you! 🥹💕 Clearly, they knew they were in very good hands!

Some sessions leave your heart a little fuller... ❤️

It was such a pleasure welcoming Lientjie de Klerk, the kind-hearted founder of Huistoe Animal Welfare, and her beautiful children into my studio. Their energy, laughter, silly moments, and endless goofiness made this one of those sessions I'll remember for a long time. 📸✨

Listening to some of the heartbreaking stories of the animals Lientjie has rescued was incredibly emotional. Yet, what stood out even more was witnessing the immense love, compassion, and dedication she pours into every single life she touches. It truly is inspiring to see someone with such a big heart, giving forgotten and abandoned animals a second chance at life. Founded in 2014, Huistoe has become a safe haven dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need.
