We spotted these two leopards on different occasions and in very different conditions. The first was taken midday and we found him deep in the bush trying to escape the heat of the sun. The second was taken shortly after we arrived to the reserve during a light shower. Possibly my favorite images of the safari. Taken at near South Africa.

This male was marking his territory as we were driving back to camp. Since he is the alpha, he was unperterbed by our visit when we arrived. Had we stayed longer, he may have wanted a go at me - judging by his expression here. Taken at near South Africa.

Even more cats! We were allowed to exit the vehicles and walk up on the cheetahs in the bush. Under careful supervision of our guides, they are docile to humans. I want to share these and it's been too long since the last post. Taken at near South Africa.

We spotted the mother leopard on an evening game drive and our terrific guide noticed she was calling for her child on the far side of the ravine. We waited patiently and quietly for the child to come to us. We had only a moment before they disappeared into the bush. Taken at near South Africa.
