Sunsets, sandy toes, big laughs — and a family who was *absolutely* up for anything 😄

This session was pure fun from start to finish. Playful energy, endless laughter, and a “why not?” attitude that made every moment better than the last. From cozy pile-ups to spontaneous movement and yes… even a few *Dirty Dancing–inspired lifts* (if you know, you know 💃🕺), this family leaned all the way in.

These are my favourite kinds of sessions — where perfection is thrown out the window and replaced with connection, joy, and memories that feel just as good as they look. Sand, silliness, and a whole lot of love ✨

This couple brought *all* the energy — playful, connected, and laughing from start to finish. The kind of session where nothing feels forced, everything flows, and the joy is contagious. This family chose to be photographed right where life happens most — among garden plans, half-finished projects, shared laughter, and the kind of cozy, well-loved spaces that hold generations of memories. Being welcomed into their home meant capturing them exactly as they are: warm, kind-hearted, deeply connected, and completely at ease with one another.

Some sessions stay with you long after the last photo is taken 🤍

This maternity session was one of those moments that truly filled my heart. Knowing this couple’s journey and celebrating this chapter with them made it incredibly special. When the news finally came that Elmarie was pregnant, my heart leapt right along with theirs — so much so that she even sent me the video of her sharing the news with her husband. I don’t think I’ve ever smiled so big for someone else 🥹

To photograph this season of waiting, love, and quiet anticipation was an absolute joy. I already cannot wait to meet the little soul who is so deeply loved and so eagerly awaited ✨

There is something incredibly grounding about newborn photography 🤍

It’s the way tiny fingers curl around yours without knowing how, the softness of a newborn yawn, the instinctive comfort found in a parent’s arms. These moments are quiet, fleeting, and so deeply meaningful — and being trusted to slow them down, even just for a moment, is one of the greatest joys of my work.

Newborn sessions remind me to breathe softer, move slower, and pay attention to the smallest details — because those are the things parents miss first as time rushes on. Capturing these early days is never just about photographs; it’s about preserving a feeling you’ll want to return to again and again ✨

Every session has its own rhythm — and this one reminded me why patience, play, and a little creative problem-solving go such a long way 🤍

When we first met, this sweet girl wasn’t quite in the mood for photos (and honestly, fair enough 😄). She kept me on my toes, challenged my creative brain, and had me working for every smile. But somewhere between cuddles, giggles, and letting her lead the pace, something shifted. She warmed up, trust was built, and the magic quietly unfolded.

By the end of our time together, we captured the most genuine, joyful moments — and I have a strong feeling that at our next session, we’ll be absolute besties. These are the moments I love most: real, honest, and full of heart ✨
