Today on Nkambako Youth in Action, we proudly feature Vutlhari “Master Films” Baloyi, the founder of Masters Films, a filmmaker, event videographer, photographer, and creative storyteller dedicated to uplifting local talent through film and visual storytelling. Since 2017, Vutlhari has been producing films and hosting annual film festival events in Nkambako, creating opportunities for young creatives and bringing local stories to life through powerful productions.
Some of the projects produced and directed by Vutlhari “Master Film” Baloyi include Situations (2017–2018), Majananda Young Family (2021–2022), The Mighty Master (2023), Correct Nangompela Majananda (2023–2024), the adaptation of the Grade 12 Vadyondzi va Namuntlha textbook (2024–2025), the Magigwana Documentary (2024–2025), and the Rise Nkambako Community Organisation Documentary (2025–2026).
Beyond filmmaking, Vutlhari has also hosted the 1st Annual Comedy Show in 2020, the 1st Annual Film Festival in 2022, the 2nd Annual Film Festival in 2023, and the 3rd Annual Film Festival in 2024. He also produced a show titled Hustlers in Action, hosted by Ntumbuluko Ngobeni, with three episodes available on the Masters Films YouTube channel.
As an experienced event videographer and photographer, Vutlhari has covered weddings, funerals, community events, and many other occasions, helping people preserve important memories through professional visual content. Throughout his journey, he has worked closely with James Mkhenso Mbhetse, the Production Manager of Masters Films, who has played a major role as a producer across films, events, and videography projects.
