Towards the end of my stint assisting/second shooting, we took a job in America photographing a calendar for a car paint company. We used a technique called Light Painting to get perfectly lit shots of these beauties. Since the work involves a lot images combined, a lot of the decisions/experience of how to light came from my editing work. I hope to produce more light painting images soon :)

Light painting comes in handy with intricate details like in this bike we photographed. On set, I took direction on where/how to light and in Photoshop I selected and combined the best images for lighting each detail on the bike to achieve this.

Everything under this on this once off custom car was chromed, even the brake discs! I remember the hours of work light painting this car and comping the images in Photoshop to achieve perfectly lit Chrome.
