I lost my voice. I got very sick and couldn't speak. 24 hours before I was going to be a "Speaker" at the Wellington Women's Conference. Speaking in public and sharing my story and my dreams for the very first time in my life. This was on 05 September 2026. The enemy tried to silence me, silence my voice. BUT GOD. Through the words of my friends prayer, JESUS HEALED ME, JESUS HEALED AND RESTORED MY VOICE and I could speak clearly to a group of over 100 women for just under one hour, all for the GLORY OF JESUS. This was a REAL MIRACLE. I am going to write this story and share it, so others will know and believe in JESUS CHRIST and believe that GOD IS STILL A GOD OF MIRACLES. GOD IS FAITHFUL. THANK YOU JESUS YESHUA. This picture of me with the LION OF JUDAH and the BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS is part of a very special chapter of my dream and testimony and story! 🌸👑🌸👑🌸👑🌸

I guess I am beginning to understand the words GOD put on my heart for my 40th Birthday... "You are going to enter your 40th year in FULL COLOUR and COURAGE" ...

"Be strong and COURAGEous.
do not be afraid,

will be with you wherever you go.”

I shared with a friend the other day that this Scripture is not only something lovely to have “printed on a mug”... even though I do really love a pretty Scripture mug ☕☺️

… but… it is truly what I LIVE BY every day.

HIS JOY has given me strength and carried me through many of life’s unexpected chapters.

HIS JOY comes from knowing that through every season, the LORD JESUS has been faithful... and HIS LOVE never fails me.

MY JOY is not found in everything going according to “my plan”...
.. but MY JOY is found in JESUS CHRIST ...

👑 YESHUA 👑
.. and because HE is with me... I can keep walking, dreaming, praying, living, working, loving, encouraging, creating and believing...

I can keep on CELEBRATING LIFE in all the beautiful colours HE has painted over it.

The JOY of the LORD truly is MY STRENGTH. 💛

AND, my friend... it is yours too!!!

WOULD THEY FIND JESUS?

No matter where I am in the world, walking through a narrow road in Portugal or living our everyday life in Cape Town or whatever situation or place I find myself in, this question always pops up in my heart and mind.

It's a daily question I reflect on...
and one I'm continually working on...
some days I fail, some days I do better...

But every new day is a gift of HIS MERCY...
a fresh opportunity to do better than yesterday,
to love, to serve and to live more like JESUS.
Tomorrow is never promised, so we try our best today! ❤️

THE QUESTION:

If someone followed you around all day...
would they find JESUS?

If someone didn't know JESUS and they followed you around for 24 hours...

and they watched how you talk to people...

how you treated people...

what you posted...

would YOUR LIFE lead them to JESUS...

THE STORY BEHIND MY 40th BIRTHDAY IN PORTUGAL.

Before I share all our Portugal adventures from this trip, I want to pause and start at the beginning... because every journey has a story, and this is the story of how I came to celebrate my 40th Birthday in Portugal.

About two years ago, I came across a photograph of Porto, Portugal.

Porto, looked like something out of a storybook...

a beautiful river flowing through the heart of the city, the Porto sunset, colourful buildings lining the water's edge, a grand bridge across the skyline, many boats, and people walking along the riverfront and enjoying coffee at cozy cafés.

It felt like a place where time slowed down.

I had never really thought much about Porto or mainland Portugal.

You see, my family is from the beautiful little island of Madeira, and our hearts have always been there. If I'm honest, I never gave much thought to exploring the mainland because I love Madeira so very much.❤️

But when I saw that photograph of Porto, something about it captured my heart.

Ricardo asked me one day:

"What would you like to do for your 40th Birthday?"

Without hesitation,
I replied:

"WOW... imagine if we could celebrate it in Porto, Portugal."

Then we both had a good laugh, because at that stage we had not planned or budgeted for it, this idea was simply a dream... nothing more.

Or so we thought, but GOD had other plans for us.

Fast forward to November 2025.

It was late on a Friday night during one of the famous November sales. A family member had asked us to help them book flight tickets online to benefit from the November discounts, as Ricardo searched the airline website, in a completely spontaneous moment, he turned to me and asked:

"DO YOU STILL WANT TO CELEBRATE YOUR 40TH BIRTHDAY IN PORTUGAL?"

My answer was immediate.

"YES!!!"

I had about five minutes to look at the calendar and choose travel dates, completely outside my comfort zone, because I usually like to think, plan, research, and pray through big decisions.

By GOD'S Grace and His Wisdom, we chose our dates in June 2026 and booked two tickets to Portugal.

GOD knows all the dreams of our heart,
even when we think it's impossible.

And so began our Portugal adventure ❤️

We are currently travelling through Portugal as we celebrate my 40th Birthday, and what a special journey it has been so far!

At the moment, I am using Instagram as my main platform for sharing our travels, adventures, beautiful places, delicious food, and special memories along the way.
