COLLODION WET PLATE PROCESS
I recently had the opportunity to experience the collodion wet plate process and it was out of this world!
This process was discovered in the 1850s and requires the coating, sensitization, exposure and development of the photographic material to be completed in less than 15 minutes. The sharpness of the finished ambrotype is immaculate!
Diving into the history of photography and experiencing it first hand gave me so much perspective and appreciation for the art of photography. 🖤
