And here they are… the beautiful family I was there for

After sharing a little glimpse of this special place (and sneaking in a few moments with my own girl), I’m so excited to finally share these.

But truly, they’re not just any family to me. They run their own little nursery school and aftercare, and I’ve had the privilege of photographing for them over the past few years — from the school to their own family moments, which makes it all the more special.

I absolutely love how they always know exactly what they want and where they want to go next for their updated photos. It makes every session feel fresh and intentional

And I have to say… I completely love (and maybe slightly envy) how mom prints and frames their photos every year. Different frames, all beautifully displayed. It is honestly so special to see those memories come to life in their home. Definitely something I dream of doing one day too!

Grateful for clients who become familiar faces and moments that keep growing year after year.

And this location… still not over it. The colours, the light, the feeling it gives.. it really brought something extra special!

At the start of the year, I wrote down a few places I really wanted to visit. Just little goals and dreams on our board at home. And then out of nowhere I got a message asking me to do a family shoot at one of those exact places.

I mean… how could I say no?

I had never been there before, but it's like I missed the place without even knowing of it! So of course my daughter came along as my little plus one. And then before and after the actual shoot, we definitely stole a few minutes to take some photos of our own, but not enough!

I’ll be sharing the beautiful family I was there for a bit later and all the really bright and beautiful spots … but for now, I just had to post this.

If you’ve been following my page for a while, you’ll know I usually lean more towards softer, neutral, natural tones… so editing these bright colours was something completely different for me. BUT honestly? I loved every second of it!

Safe to say… I definitely WANT to go BACK!

Some mornings just stay with you and This was one of them.

I got up early, after doing all the research, and arrived at the beach while it was still completely dark with just the sound of waves and that quiet, almost unreal stillness before sunrise.

And then… my very first sunrise shoot.
Not just any shoot ... a maternity session !

Honestly, they looked like something out of a storybook. Her red hair, those beautiful eyes, the soft, flowing dress… and the gentle wind catching her hair and dress just perfectly it was just perfect...in my opinion.

The light, the landscape, the moment… everything just came together so perfectly, it honestly felt like a piece of art. I found myself turning in every direction, taking it all in, making sure I captured every angle, every bit of that beauty.

Sunrise sessions?
Completely worth it. Every early alarm, every second.

This little one celebrated surrounded by nature, and you all know I’m a complete sucker for an outdoor setting — this venue was absolutely perfect.

To his mom, I take my hat off to you. The decor, the thought, the detail... everything was done with so much love and total perfection. You could see it in every corner. On top of that friends, family, little ones playing and laughter everywhere… I honestly couldn’t stop smiling.

I have to admit though… it was one of those properly hot days or I am simply getting older. By the end of it I’m pretty sure I blended right in with the kids who’d been enjoying the water slide! But honestly, when the setting is this beautiful and the atmosphere this special, I don’t even mind one bit. I would go back and do it all again in a heartbeat.

These are the kinds of days that stay with you. Joyful, slightly chaotic, full of love and completely worth it!

I couldn't just choose a few photos so do yourself a favour and just go look them all!

One very brave little guy arrived with a broken arm and still showed up like an absolute champ — smiling, laughing, and enjoying every moment as if nothing could slow him down.

Those who’ve followed me for a while know this venue and my ongoing fear thanks to a certain slithery incident. So of course, as I was walking backwards and stepped straight into a hole my heart skipped a beat and my mind went immediately there again. Quick explanation to the family, a few deep breaths… and we carried on!

I truly loved meeting this special family and getting to share small conversations in between shots, getting to know them just a little more.

Throwing it back to these beautiful moments from EduZone Nursery School, one of the nursery school I photographed, where last year’s theme was Princes & Princesses.

Every child brought their own little sparkle and that’s what made these moments so special. I loved seeing each child simply be themselves whether it was a soft, shy smile or a confident royal pose. Every photo tells its own little story of who they are as tiny individuals.

A beach day with family is always something special 🤍
I recently had the absolute joy of capturing this beautiful family. My aunt and uncle, my cousins and their precious granddaughter and what a session it was. So much laughter, peace, and genuine joy filled every moment.

They’ve only recently made Cape Town home, but one thing is already very clear: they love the beach. The ocean, the fresh air, and that calm, happy energy suit them perfectly.

It’s always such an honour and privilege to document special moments for family. There’s something incredibly meaningful about freezing memories of the people you love. Moments that will be cherished long after the sand is washed away.

And a little fun fact — this family isn’t just full of love, but deeply rooted in faith and service. From singing and playing instruments to pastoral leadership each of them is wholeheartedly involved in church and serving others.

It’s so awesome to see how their love for God, music and people flows naturally into every part of their lives.

Grateful for moments like these.

So much personality and so many emotions wrapped up in one tiny little authentic boy

This cake smash & outdoor bubble bath was in celebration of his very first birthday and I won’t even try to hide it… I had WAY too much fun just seeing him and okay, his mom (aka my cousin) too!

We photographed everything in the comfort of his own yard (which honestly looks like a mini Kirstenbosch). From curious little looks to messy fingers and bubbly giggles, he explored everything.
Big reactions, sweet little moments you name it, he took it all in.
By the end of it? By the end of it all, he was definitely totally tired after so much fun, newness, and adventure.

This session was extra close to my heart not only because they’re family, but because I’ve had the honour of capturing so many special moments for them, including their wedding right here in this very space.

It was such a pleasure meeting these two and spending a few moments chatting and getting to know them a little better.

They came in knowing exactly the look they wanted and their polished, professional style came together effortlessly.
Confident & timeless and this so suits them like a glove.

I honestly thought we wouldn’t be able to get into this building… but when there’s a will and someone walking out at just the right time, there’s a way!

They are absolutely gorgeous and sessions like this are a perfect reminder that going for it often leads to something special.

Sharing this session as we step into a New Year feels right. Celebrating great moments, great people, and memories worth revisiting.

This little dude turned FIVE in October!

I’ve had the absolute privilege of photographing him every year since he was just two years old, and watching him grow has been such a joy. Each birthday we head to a new location and he always arrives in the coolest personalized white birthday shirt, every single year without fail!

This was his very first beach session, and let me tell you… he had zero interest in standing still. He just wanted to explore, run, splash, and discover everything! And true to who I am... I let him lead the way which meant I got a full workout chasing him through the sand. I even ended up soaked… thank goodness for fast-drying exercise tights!

But honestly? I think I had just as much fun as he did. He is such a happy, adventurous little boy and it is such a gift to see his personality shine brighter every year.

Mom and Dad both make sure to join him for photos every birthday and I really admire the way they show up for him and help make his day special.

Here’s to another year of growing, giggles, and awesome birthday shirts!
