Grogu the mandalorian apprentice figure is very cute. I love how the head, ears and arms move. Was super fun shooting outdoors again in beautiful morning light on a deserted beach with just a reflector to fill the shadows. Swipe through to see some BTS shots.
I have not seen the film yet so now spoilers please.

UCS N-1 Starfighter is a beautiful set. Thank you for the set. I loved shooting this baby, such beautiful lines and angles. The designers knocked it out the park.

Spider-Man 2099! What a cool minifigure! Second shot was with my probe lens. Keep swiping to see a BTS of the setup. When is the next movie coming out???!!! Man it’s been way too long waiting in this cliffhanger 😭😭😭

The bat symbol! Super cool display piece. Comes with the 20 year anniversary gold Batman minifigure. I had fun trying to make it look like the actual bat symbol in the sky.

The third and final new Batmobile is the Batman v Superman version. This one is more like a tank! It has cool body plated armour and a nice low profile. I like the build around the wheels too. The minifigure is excellent as well, so much printed detail 👌. It does not come with the superman minifig, I added him in there to recreate the famous scene from the movie where they meet and Batman asks him “do you bleed?”

This is actually my favourite Batmobile out of the 3 new releases. I didn’t expect to love it so much. Its design is solid and chunky but still has the Batman vibe. It’s a beefed up muscle car that looks like a battering ram. The minifigure is excellent too, super details on the print.
I tried to match the colour tones of the 2022 film with Robert Patterson as close as I could. Lots of red and warm tones in that film which I achieved with orange and red gels on my lights. Also used my trusty smoke machine for atmosphere.

The new Batmobiles are here! I think the George Clooney minifigure is the best thing about this set! It has so much detail and excellent printing that makes it so unique. Very stoked to add this to my Batman collection.
The vehicle is a quick and fun build but probably my least favourite design of Batmobile.
With regard to the photography, I tried to match the colour tones and vibes of the Batman & Robin film. I used pink and blue gels on my lights which show up in the practical smoke effects and high lights on the subject.
I used a probe lens in most of these shots to get some dynamic angles.

Beach Party! 🏖️ 🌊⛱️ I’ve been meaning to shoot these minifigs for ages and when my son wanted to go for a surf I decided to take them along with us and shoot them old school in the wild.
This style of shooting outside is what got me hooked 🎣 on toy photography almost 14 years ago. I need to do this more as opposed to always shooting in my studio.

This beach is 10 minutes from our house and is the best beach in Cape Town in my opinion. Great for chilling, surfing and toy photography 😄👍
