Swartberg Pass is 27km of the pure joy, one of the finest mountain passes in the world. Have you driven it?

It takes you to an elevation of 1.583m (5,193ft) above sea level, and runs between Oudtshoorn in the south and Prince Albert in the north.

Today I woke up at an ungodly hour to go watch the sunrise and visit with these beauties. The sunrise was quite a banger. One for the books! Such a nice way to start the day.

My sleep and camp setup when I’m on the road looks likes this mostly. I converted my Audi A4 into a camper car. It’s got a kitchen at the back with 2 weeks worth of food. That came in handy when I got stuck for just over a week one time in a pretty remote place.

It’s got a hot water geyser and pressurized 12min shower which is lovely. I sleep ‘upstairs’ mostly and sometimes downstairs too. If you have any questions about the setup, let me know in the comments.
